Terms
Last updated October 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of Lou, an AI you text that finds you things to do and can book them for you. Lou is run by Ryan Pate ("we"). By texting Lou or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Who can use Lou
You need to be 18 or older and in the US. Lou is an invite-only beta, so it will change, and it may sometimes be down or stop working altogether.
Lou is an AI
Lou checks what it suggests, but it can still get things wrong: a time, a price, whether something's still on. Double-check anything that really matters to you. Picks are suggestions; whether to go, and whether it's safe for you, is your call.
Buying things
- Lou only buys something after you approve it in Stripe's Link, for the items and maximum amount shown there.
- You're the buyer. Purchases are between you and the seller, and the seller's terms, fees and refund policy apply.
- When you ask Lou to book on a site where you have an account, you let Lou use that account, signed in as you, to do what you asked.
- Lou can't promise something will be available, or that a purchase will go through.
- If a purchase goes wrong, tell us at hi@outwithlou.com and we'll help sort it out with the seller.
Texts
Lou texts you about plans, picks and your invite. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Using Lou well
Don't use Lou to break the law, to buy things you mean to resell, or to harass anyone. Don't try to get around its limits or use someone else's number. We can suspend access if you do.
No warranty
Lou is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We're not responsible for events, venues, sellers or anything that happens at a plan Lou suggested.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of $100 or what you've paid us in the past twelve months.
Ending things
You can stop using Lou at any time; text "delete my data" to have your data removed. We can end your access with notice, or right away if you misuse Lou.
The rest
California law governs these terms, and disputes go to the courts in San Francisco. If we change these terms in a way that matters, Lou will tell you before the change applies.
